Sports, Yoga And NCC

From shooting to football, basketball, cricket, badminton and swimming, we're diving into a sea of activities.

Engaging in a variety of outdoor activities isn't just about fun and games—it's about nurturing physical and mental well-being. These activities promote fitness, teamwork, discipline, and resilience. They help in developing crucial life skills like leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Plus, being outdoors encourages a connection with nature, fostering a sense of appreciation and environmental stewardship.

“What can be learned in the playground cannot be learned in the classroom.” SSIS lays a strong emphasis on sports & physical development of the children. We believe in mass participation as their curriculum of sports & Yoga is designed and planned in such a way to develop & enhance skills like strength, speed, endurance, agility, control, balance & flexibility, etc.

It is needless to say that if we want our Children with nerves of steel, muscles of iron and sound mind, Sports & Yoga is mandatory as these help to inculcate sportsmanship, Discipline & Self-Confidence, Determination, Sense of Competition, Team Spirit and Preparation for later life. Therefore, taking all these positive points into consideration, the school has included sports environment with proper facilities, dedicated & well-trained instructors who encourage students in pursuing sports. So, sports are made compulsory part of the school’s curriculum and an integral part of a child’s development. Swami Vivekananda once said that we can reach heaven by playing football rather than by reading Holy Scriptures. SSIS is committed to bring a change in education system.
